Plain palak curry is a traditional north Indian gravy curry cooked in almost every restaurant in India. This deliciously simple recipe is perfect side dish for Roti / Chapati / Butter Naan. Freshly blanched spinach cooked with finely chopped onions and spicy green peppers give you mouthwatering taste. If you add paneer to this Punjabi vegetarian recipe and cook it for another 5 minutes, it is called palak paneer recipe.

PLAIN PALAK GRAVY CURRY
INGREDIENTS
Oil - 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Onion [chopped] - 2 [medium]
Green chilies - 3
Garlic cloves [crushed] - 5
Ginger [chopped] - 1 inch
Spinach [chopped] - 3 cups
Salt - 1 tsp
METHOD:
1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a saucepan. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2 medium size onions [chopped], 3 green chili peppers, 5 garlic cloves [crushed], 1-inch ginger chopped, 3 cups spinach [chopped], 1 tsp salt and cook it for 3 minutes on medium flame.
2. Let it cool the mixture and transfer it to the mixer jar. Grind it to the thick paste. Your delicious "Spinach Curry" is ready to serve with roti/chapati/naan as gravy dish.
