HOMEMADE TAMARIND PULP PASTE
INGREDIENTS:
Tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp [optional]
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp [optional]
METHOD:
1. Take 1/2 cup tamarind pulp in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup water to it. Let's soak it for 15 minutes. Add it to a blender jar. Grind it to the thick paste. Put it aside.
2. Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a saucepan. Add the blended tamarind pulp to it. Add 1/2 tsp salt [optional], 1/4 tsp turmeric powder [optional] to it for additional taste. Cook it until raw smell goes off. Let it cool. Your fresh and tangy tamarind pulp is ready to use in recipes.
